The Clydesdale is a semi-detached house, situated in a quiet residential area of Paignton, yet only a short level walk to sea front, town centre, Victoria Park and Oldway Mansion.<\/p>\n

We have 7 bedrooms of which two are on the ground floor, one twin and one double.
There are  a further 5  bedrooms on the first floor The whole house is carpeted.<\/p>\n

The 5 bedrooms located on the 2nd<\/sup> floor, are unable to accommodate wheelchair dependent persons, or persons with severe mobility problems.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

We are approximately half a mile, mostly level, walk from both the train and bus stations. which are located opposite each other. National coaches also drop at the bus station.<\/p>\n

There is a taxi rank outside the train station. Taxis can also be pre-\u2010\u2010booked before your arrival and during your stay. Please let us know if you would like us to book one for you.<\/p>\n

The nearest shops are approximately a half mile walk away.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate cats or dogs, except assistance dogs.<\/p>\n

Our brochures and other material can be provided in large print if required.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately we do not have access to facilities for producing information in Braille.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Our normal check in time is 2-6pm, If your room is available we will complete your check in, otherwise you are welcome to deposit suitcases beforehand. If your are able to provide an approximate arrival time we will make sure we area here to greet you.<\/p>\n

We have limited parking for 5 cars but there is some street parking available nearby.<\/p>\n

Main Entrance<\/strong> – There is one step of 6 inch then a second step of 8.5 inches from the front path into our hallway with a grab rail on the wall.<\/p>\n

This leads into the 2 ground floor bedrooms, with doors off to the guest lounge and dining room.<\/p>\n

The outside front door is locked. On arrival please ring the bell to announce yourself or telephone us.<\/p>\n

Guest Accommodation<\/strong><\/p>\n

 Public Areas \u2022 Our house is arranged with a carpeted lounge and laminated floor dining room along with two carpeted bedrooms on the ground floor. The other 5 carpeted bedrooms are on the 2nd floor.<\/p>\n

There are 12 stairs from the ground floor to a small platform where the stairs curve round then 3 more stairs to the landing with a hand rail right side going up. Both hall and landings are carpeted wall to wall.<\/p>\n

There is a public toilet on the first floor landing at the end of the corridor.<\/p>\n

The building is fully centrally heated.<\/p>\n

 Lounge and Dining Room <\/strong><\/p>\n

 On the ground floor there is a guest lounge at the front of the building. This room is available at any time. It is fully carpeted. There is a TV, hi-fi, a selection of books and magazines, board games, for our guests’ use. The Lounge lighting is on timer switches so the lighting and lamps will automatically come on and turn off.<\/p>\n

The dining room is opposite the lounge on the ground floor. The dining room is available to use any time of the day. And we would ask that if you bring any food in that it is eaten in here and not in your room.  There are plates and cutlery available.<\/p>\n

Bedrooms <\/strong>\u2013 All our bedrooms have en-\u2010\u2010suite facilities with a shower, washbasin and toilet.  All the double beds can be accessed from both sides. There is a centre ceiling light in each room and bedside lamps or lighting. All our bedrooms are carpeted.  All our en-\u2010\u2010suite shower rooms have vinyl flooring. All our bedrooms have a hair dryer, extra pillow and blanket. More are available on request.  All our bedrooms have a hospitality tray offering a selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolate, milk, biscuits, sugars. Please advise us of any other dietary needs when making a booking.  All our bedrooms have a folder offering additional information about the guest house..<\/p>\n

Smoking is permitted outside the house where there are ashtrays for you to use, SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED ANYWHERE IN THE BUILDING,<\/strong> THANK YOU. Additional Information  Each public room has a smoke detector, and the building benefits from an annual fire equipment safety check.  In the event of a fire there are break glasses on each landing and outside the dining room doorway. The signal is a continuous ringing from the fire. There are fire extinguishers located on in the hallway. The fire evacuation procedure is posted in each bedroom on the wall by the light switch as you enter the room. If you have a hearing difficulty or language problem please advise us at the time of booking, and we can then ensure your safe evacuation if necessary. Evacuation is via the front door of the property. The assembly point is outside at the bottom of the drive.<\/p>\n

Should you have medication that needs to be kept cool we can provide a small fridge for use in the room.  If you have any dietary restrictions please let us know when you book and we can then be prepared for your stay. Mobile phone reception is usually good anywhere in the house. There is free WiFi access throughout the building. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
